I'm not sure what constitutes "better sex scenes" in regards to this film...
I'm not sure the sex scenes were intended to be outright "sexy," but rather a lense into an arguably unhealthy pathology. However, the central theme of the film questions whether nymphomania is dysfunction or an individual's socially unacceptable raison d'être. My friend could barely get through Vol. I because he literally felt grossed out watching it and he's viewed pornagraphy. Maybe, he's just another uptight wanker.
Haven't watched the film in quite some time, but aren't the scenes of sex with her protege supposed to demonstrate a moral disintegration and the depth of disturbing hedonism. Seeing as how, her protege is a minor. I think it's depicting ephebophilia... And I remember feeling disturbed by that thought. Again, it's hazy, but having abused this young woman, I remembered Jo feeling remorse. Someone correct me, I'm too lazy to look it up myself.
Whatever floats your boat, but the scenes in the movie would definitely be considered gonzo pornagraphy. If you're into that, maybe, try for a porn site?
