I understand the first family not knowing the whole history, but 40+ years after, how the world do you not know the history of this house?! My unborn children know the history! That alone makes this whole premise unrealistic. What a waste. I like the first movies and the 2005 remake, but this is absurd! Lol
shareI'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the mother knows, but didn't tell the kids. Apparently this takes place in the "real world" and the Amityville movies are actually movies. But maybe the ids never heard of or seen the movies.
Especially if they're not into horror films.
And the first family actually did know the history, the realtor tells them in the original and the remake.
