My theater still has the "April 1st" Poster

That's funny, I wonder if/when they'll take it down. Or if they'll leave it up for a whole 10 months.

The theater near me had 2 movies in the past that had posters up and then taken down with the movie not coming that year at all.

The Green Inferno which we finally got over a year later.
Also a movie called Before I Wake had it's poster up last year and now it's back up and it still hasn't came out yet.

We went to see Batman V. Superman last night and they had the poster up for it still.

Same as my theater. Saw the poster yesterday when I went to see 10 Cloverfield Lane and Batman v Superman (yup...double feature!).

So I asked an employee about it, if it was coming soon (this is before I checked here, mind you) and they were like "yeah, I think so." Me: "Because its not here yet, as of April 4th, so maybe a limited release starting April 1st and it will hopefully start trickling into more theaters soon?" Them: "Yeah, probably." Me: "Cool, thanks."

Which is what led me here, all hopeful and crap (since this has taken forever to come out). And now I find out that, not only was there no wide release April 1st, it wasn't even a limited release, and won't be out until next year (if we're lucky). Should've known not to have gotten my hopes up... :-/

Sucks because I really liked the original movie, I thought Cameron Monaghan was great on Gotham as Jerome, Bella Thorne's pretty hot, and the trailer for this one looked good (from what I remember), so hopes were high.

Anyone else starting to feel like Charlie Brown? Screw that football lol

Same deal with Midnight Special, too. That was also supposed to come out April 1st at my theater, according to the poster (and TV commercials). Goddamn April Fools ::grumbles like old man::
