I used to roll my eyes every time they delayed this movie, but now I just question what the hell is wrong with Dimension & the Weinsteins. This is just ridiculous. The movie was filmed years ago and was supposed to be released years ago. And now we won't even see it for another year. I could have sworn I saw the trailer attached to Raimi's Spider-Man or the original Jurassic Park.
After moving the release date about 5 times, changing the rating from R to PG-13, and making us wait years, I truly have no idea what the Weinsteins are doing with this film...or any of their films, for that matter.

I get the idea behind that, because of the original January 2, 2015 release date- it couldn't have been THAT long ago. Between Cameron Monaghan and Bella Thorne, both of them must have been babies when Jurassic Park was released.
It don't matter who you hear it from. It's the same story. reply share
this was suppose to have come out all the way back in 2012 when it was rumored to have the found footage angle. then it was pushed back to 2015. then 2016. now 17

After they waited a whole year to release I figured it was because Bella Thorne had a nude scene and they filmed in America where the legal age is 18 and she was only 16-17 at the time. Then she turned 18 and then they STILL postponed the release yet again ... so it must not have been because there was a nude scene and had to wait for Bella Thorne to release the footage. Then they postpone again and even put it PG13 most likely taking out all the scenes that were R rated to turn it into PG13.
I was really excited to see this movie since I was a huge Bella Thorne fan. Now when the movie comes out, I could care less about it.
Well they can't just dump it since they already filmed it. They mind as well release it and make the actor's and crew members' work on it worth making.
How many reshoots can they do without the teens aging out? They released 2 versions of the Exorcist Prequel, I wonder how many they're going to put out of this. If you don't like this one, pick one of the other 4 versions.
Bella is still a teen, but Cameron is in his twenties. I don't really see them aging much after two years. But they should definitely call it quits with the reshooting at this point. Putting this movie off for more than two years is ridiculous. This is why Dimension Films suck when it comes to handling movies because they want to reshoot things and most of the time, the version that gets released ends up being terrible. They just need to learn to stick to what they originally shot.
