Direct sequel to the original 1979 film..

To me, it's a direct sequel to the original film with James Brolin and Margot Kidder. None of the other sequels will exist, like Texas Chainsaw 3D did.

It's a film where both the book and the film 'The Amityville Horror' exist. It has the whole meta approach like the remake of 'The Town That Dreaded Sundown' had.
