So....

Okay, so this movie is supposed to come out in January, 2 years after it's original release date.

At first, they had to reshoot the ending - and I could see why that might take some time being that Cameron and Bella are somewhat busy and probably have to free some time to do reshoots. But now it's like they're just waiting for no real reason. I mean it didn't come out last April as planned and they changed it AGAIN because apparently Friday The 13th was *supposed* to come out this January but of course Friday has been pushed again (big surprise).

So what does this mean for Amityville if the plan was to release it the same time as Friday? Every horror movie seems to stay in development FOREVER before it actually gets made and even then, takes forever to get released. The best thing they could have done was release it around the time The Conjuring 2 came out, being that that movie opened with the Amityville story.

I really want to see this on the big screen, especially since I was never able to see any of the films in the theater (Except that wretched remake), but if they decide to push it again, they may as well just release it on DVD/Bluray/VOD. Two years is too long of a wait as it is and there are a good group of people who've been waiting to see this film. Especially with all of the direct-to-DVD crap "Amityville" movies that have been coming out.

A movie's rating means zero. There are plenty of R-Rated movies I can think of out there that suck major ass.
