Dimension Films: The company known for delaying sequels.

They don't know when to stop.

Here are films that have been delayed by Dimension Films:
Halloween 8: Resurrection (Originally 2000, then 2001, then final release 2002)
Scary Movie 4 (Originally 2005, then final release 2006)
Scary Movie 5 (Originally 2008, then 2011, then 2012, then final release 2013)
Scream 4 (Originally 2010, then final release 2011
Halloween 9 (delayed too much, ended up replaced by Rob Zombie's remake in 2007)
Halloween 3D (Originally 2010, then 2012, then 2015, then never)
Halloween Returns (Originally 2016, then delayed, then Dimension lost the rights of the series and it got bought by Blumhouse, it may not even be called Halloween Returns)

Dimension Films always pulls this crap with their sequels. IMO, it would be better if they don't put out news or an IMDb page until they finish production.

They also mess up a lot of sequels. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers and Hellraiser: Bloodline both got screwed big time. My biggest fear is that one of the reasons this film keeps getting pushed back is because it too has been getting tinkered with. The director hasn't said anything in a long time and I hope it's not because he's had a gag order put on him.
