I've noticed that since George passed away, people who were there during the events in the book and movie all seem to want to suddenly be involved - I think because George probably could have sued if they spoke wrongly about the story that he claims happened.
My Amityville Horror was focused on Danny, the documentary was actually really good, but I still found it odd that we never heard a peep from him up until after George passed. Some of his story is hard to swallow (George moving things with his mind) but most of it lines up with George's version (flies all over, then disappearing, etc...)
Kathy's sister wrote a book, "My Sister's Keeper" which apparently explains her version of what happened while she was there (I did not read it and don't intend to) - I think someone who helped with the book keeps promoting it on this FB Amityville page I'm on and it just seems like they're trying to make some $$$$ with their constant "The truth is finally told!!!" when they post for people to buy it.
And now you have Chris, the other son, throwing in his two cents, which he's done a few times randomly throughout the last few years, I know a few years ago he did an interview for Inside Edition or something, but now it seems he's full on out trying to make it about him. I think after seeing a whole documentary focused on his brother, he feels he should get some of the spotlight.
I seriously doubt he's the reason the movie was delayed, especially considering it's already been delayed twice - before he popped into the picture, I get the impression he just wants people to *think* he was the reason it was delayed. I saw some "Twitter fights" with him and Brad Miska (who runs Bloody Disgusting) and I also saw him Tweeting and tagging Dimension, Blumhouse Pictures and the Weinsteins to get their attention, but it seems no one (except Brad) bit the bait.
He also apparently filmed his own footage at the house they used in Awakening, because it was built on a public park and I guess that makes it legal for anyone to go there (?).
I honestly think the most interesting would be Missy, the daughter, especially since she's the one who had the imaginary pig friend "Jody", which was a huge part of the book and movie - but I don't see her popping her head out for this, then again you never know.
