Billy repeating lines
Anyone notice there are a couple moments where Marty says "what" after Billy says something and he repeats himself identically. Any theories on this?

No what I'm saying is it's as if the film skips a beat like a record player and repeats itself.

It was just a somewhat arbitrary(and amusing, at least to me) dialogue quirk. You could perhaps say it was realistic, as people repeating themself is a fact of daily life, but I think that might not have been the point in this of all movies.
shareBilly is an ACTOR, remember? He is used to performing multiple takes for a scene. If a line "drops" he automatically does it exactly as before, so as to keep continuity. I thought it was kind of brilliant. Meta, guys. Meta.

This what I interpreted. Glad someone else saw it like this!
shareWell.....
#1. Billy is a psychopath.
#2. When I first heard him do it, I thought he was mocking him because people say "What?" all the time, yet they heard perfectly fine what was said.

Agreed 100 percent!
Personally, I thought it was hilarious how Billy kept repeating himself word for word. But I found Sam Rockwell to be the funniest character in the movie! Probably my favorite performance by Rockwell thus far. And Rockwell has had many great performances. I remember seeing him in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid, and even though he only had a couple scenes in that movie, I rembered him in it. Now he's an accomplished film actor, and one of my favorite actors.
Delicious must be heaven to the hungry in hell.
I think it's a tic. Like a mental thing like Tourette's syndrome people have. Like with the l.a. Weekly line or the call her up and see thing. Idk I like the other theories on here too but that's how I looked at it
sharehmmm, finally the stuttering end credits' weirdness is plausibly explained.
thanks, Rwbz.
