shareHi alihojati,
Evaluations such as these (or those surrounding the level or acceptability of language or sexuality) are subjective. You said you found it "too violent". Fair enough. You experienced it in that regard, and I'm sure you will find some others who agree. I didn't.
His previous film, In Bruges, had an MPAA rating that took into account the level of violence. I'd venture to say that if Seven Psychopaths disturbed you, In Bruges would also, but the violence is of a different sort, and In Bruges the film is thought-provoking enough to warrant not being passed over on account of what you suspect might be in it. Dare I suggest you give it a shot?
You may enjoy my reaction to Seven Psychopaths (https://mymusingsonfilm.wordpress.com/2013/01/11/seven-psychopaths-201 2/. At that page, I also react to In Bruges. Both were excellent.
Thanks for sharing your experience and letting me share mine.
All the best,
KW.
Yeah, with a subject heading like "Is it just me..." clearly the OP thought themselves to be stating a fact.

It's you. I would have liked too have seen alot more brutality.
Cult Leader my mind's frightening, I drink blood from a human skull like a Viking
not as violent no, but the violence that there was there was less cartoonish and therefore a bit more disturbing.
i liked In Bruge a lot though so i still think it's worth watching.
It really isn't that violent, and a lot of it wasn't even serious in my opinion. He only has one other film so there isn't much else to say.
Let me release you from this imperfect flesh that ties you to time and space.
Two totally different films. One is set in reality the other in the mind of a screen writer. Both have the same sensibilities being the same genius of a writer.
shareThis wasn't set in the mind of a Screenwriter?
shareYes it was. You clearly are too young for many of the films you ARE watching, This being one.
shareI'm not too young. The film was set in reality and nothing suggests that it wasn't. Don't talk down to me because you're seeing layers in a film which just aren't there.
shareLol at you accusing people of things, when you can't even comprehend the movie is set in reality.
Just a suggestion; try to get your brain working a bit more.
Really? I think the movie is actually pretty tame on the violence.
I'm feeling rough, I'm feeling raw, I'm in the prime of my life.
It's most certainly NOT tame. The neck cutting scene and the flashback murders were way too graphic to be considered "funny." However, I felt the rest of the film was appropriately over the top and hilariously violent. For a comedy, the film is one of the more violent.
shareAbsolutely. I disliked the level of violence which was totally unnecessary. In Bruges was not (in my opinion) violent at all.

"In Bruges was not (in my opinion) violent at all."
Ok, you're either trolling or didn't watch In Bruges.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings.
The film is called Seven Psychopaths. Not sure what you were expecting but I think the title lets you know that it's going to be violent.......
