This film isn't about cyberbullying, it's about histrionic personality

The first time her brother hacked her account and said she's a naughty girl who likes to get spanked, and this bimbo goes all crazy and upset? Huh? Just change your status, and delete the old one. She was a histrionic drama queen. She was 17 y/o and possibly a senior in HS, and she goes this crazy because people called her a slut??? Jeez, college will eat her alive if she can't handle being called silly names.

It took her approximately 10 days to go from adjusted to suicidally insane. This wasn't about cyberbullying, just a mentally disturbed drama queen.

I know! And the one thing that really pissed me off about this movie was how Taylor was still "Facebook friends" with her bullies. Seriously? If someone on Facebook was saying insults to me like that, I would delete them right away and block their ass. It's like the writer from this movie had no idea about the deleting/reporting options that Facebook offers. Taylor hated these girls and they hated her, but she still felt the need to keep them as friends. If she would have deleted them, some of the drama could have went away.

Throughout the entire movie, it puzzled me as to why she wouldn't just delete these people and block them. Better yet, delete the account. Period. It seems that Taylor had this irrational need to know what was being said about her.

OP,
Being called a slut can be very traumatic to many women. Add a young girl like Taylor who is already insecure and unsure of herself to the mix and you know what happens. It truly is a hateful and mysogonistic word to hurl at any woman or girl.

What. I didn't get the feeling that she was insecure, AT ALL.

Unless you're being sarcastic, I'm not sure how or why you didn't see her as insecure. She is a teenage girl who already is kind of the outcast and unpopular. Her father left the family for a 25 year old. Add to the fact that she is being bullied and then becomes subsequently suicidal, I'd say she probably had some insecurities. But hey, perceptions are subjective anyway.

Yeah she was unpopular but it's not like she didn't have any friends at all. Not every teenage girl wants to be super popular and she never expressed any desire to be more popular or whatever.

she wasnt histrionic at all, trust me. u dont seem to know what that word means..
