I don't care if a girl stands there naked in front of a dude with promises of oral sex. The minute she decides it is over that is it. She is not asking for it. She does not deserve it. It is her body and she only decides how far it goes. Society treats women's bodies as male property to pass judgment upon we are either fridge or sluts. They have no right to call us either.
shareAgreed. Telling girls that if they wear short skirts and low-cut tops then they give up their right to deny men sexual access to their bodies is a great way to get girls to stop wearing short skirts and low-cut tops. And who wants that? (Aside from the religious fundamentalists).
shareHenry was suffering PTSD and dealing with a dishonorable discharge from less than 3 weeks earlier. Abby overtly came on to him at the fire, but when he meets her in the woods he doesn't play his cards right: He gets aggressive and starts spouting offensive words, both of which understandably turn Abby off, not to mention she started to feel sick (likely a combination of his abuse and too much alcohol). The bottom line is that Henry flubbed it up. He turned her off. He was a dumbaxx.
Keep in mind that Abby didn't know of his situation and mental issues. She was recently separated from her husband and dealing with it by partying and getting down with some hunk on vacation. I'm just sharing her perspective. I'm not saying it was a wise way to handle her situation, but it's relatively realistic.
