Well, it is not as bad as too many portray it, but clearly not his best work...

Cry Macho is not as bad as too many have portrayed it. It seems to be that the harshest critics are those viewers that went into watching this with too high of an expectation and possibly while comparing this to Eastwood's previously better work.

The toughest thing for me when viewing this was when the natural comparison of the elderly Eastwood and the more vibrant Eastwood kicked in. Especially, when growing up while watching the younger Eastwood for so many years.

Because of the harsh critic reviews and fan reviews, I went into watching this with very low expectations, and while watching it actually exceeded such comments.

Eastwood clearly wanted to make a small, touching flick and just missed the mark a bit but it's an okay movie to just sit back and let it flow.
