A man is abducted into an alternate version of his life.

That sound stupid to me, and though they call it science fiction, seems more like fantasy or magic to me - that is, a plot that they otherwise years ago would have explained with magic - or it me personally, the kind of science fiction I pretty much detest. I'll have to check it out and see if I'm correct.

Maybe 100 years ago and beyond, one would call it "magic", but we call it science now.

However, regarding the "detest" term, I felt the same way about 'Reverie' (2018) -- a Lifetime Network type TV show masquerading as "sci-fi" on network tv -- NBC. I only watched the show because Sarah Shahi was the main lead, but I'm happy that the show was canceled.
