10 for the special effects

I just got my new TV 3D set and this was the first movie i chose to watch in 3D and was really pleasantly surprised at the trouble they went through with the special effects. It was the star of this movie, which reminded me of few past movies.."Spartacus', Gladiators' and etc...The white slave fighter against the top black slave who were set to kill each other in battle and fate has them become best of friends. As a visitor to Pompeii, Italy the sets were pretty accurate from what I saw and then when I was looking at the thousands of credits at the end, the Italians must have taken part of the story.

If you want some truly impressive 3d, check out edge of tomorrow for action and for non action hugo.

The special effects in this film where nothing special. Though it was shoot in 3d (not converted), however their was so little depth until the final act most scenes could leave one easily thinking it was a 2d film.
