the hero is a shrimp and the girl is homely

Milo was the smallest person in the movie and we're told he's invincible.!!!!

Reckless drivers are a bigger threat to you than all other criminals put together.

He's invincible alright. He got 15 lashes just before all that fighting. Her duck lips kept disappearing and reappearing. They should have kept her injections consistent.

That's it, she looked like a starved alien in the beginning, but in the end, covered in ash, I thought she looked fine.

I want you to pull my hair, and ravish me, and leave me for dead.

You've watched too many 80's movies in real life no special forces members looks like Arnold schwarzenegger they look more like kit Harington and Russel crow in gladiator, average build and toned. I thought it was ridiculous so many of them where massive when they hardly got any food they should all be slim.

The girl looked about 12 they probably should have got someone else but still good movie.

Look you're probably right about the gladiator's build, but I have to agree with the OP's comments. It just looks rather comical on occasion, seeing "the invincible Milo" standing up next to a bunch of these other guys and he looks tiny in comparison. Tom Cruise has a lot for which to answer.🐭

Smaller guys can be lighter on their feet - and that extra speed can help with fighting. Besides, he had those fight scenes with Kiefer Sutherland, who, according to Freddie Prinze Jr., is sensitive about his own diminutive stature.
