It's just exactly what it's supposed to be. A blockbuster about Pompeii disaster with a love and vengeance story. And for what it is, I, as a cinephile, have to admit it was very well executed. Actors perform on *their* levels. Direction has style. A couple of goosebumps-inducing moments, and a very good ending.
shareI liked it. It didnt pretend to be anything that it's not. I especially liked the pacing, and found the CGed stuff to be surprisingly good and it added up to the film. The music was very good too. It did have some quite predictable cliches and the script was sometimes meh but it didnt bother me too much. Overall enjoyed the film.
