Did anyone else find this painfully dry and uninteresting?

I don't mean to anger any fans of the movie. I really wanted to like this, I like most of the actors in it. I fell asleep during the first 1/2 hour TWICE. That was a few months ago. Tonight I caught it again and made it through the whole thing without nodding off. I thought it was so DULL and I never really cared about any of the characters in it. I thought the kids' sister was annoying as hell to boot. I feel like it could have been a GREAT movie but something was missing and I think it was the plot/writing is where it failed.

It was one of the dullest, emptiest, most pointless and plotless movies of all time. And this is coming from one horny bitch who loves to see halfnaked men dance as much as the next horny bitches.

But alas this movie was flatter than a pancake and duller than cigarette ash.

I'm a horny bitch too but I'd rather watch men build a house or fix a car. :-)

the best thing about the movie was Channing's dance movies, nothing else was good. I was disappointed too. I thought it would have been better

Yes, the only good thing was Channing dancing, I blame Steven Soderbergh for the rest of the boring direction and the constant use of the yellow color in the film in a state like Florida that is full of color because is near the tropical zone. I would prefer that Channing worked with the Australian director he mentioned in an interview when he was talking about making a movie about his time as a stripper.
