In all honesty, if I am going to watch strippers I would prefer to watch women. I have never understood the fascination with male strippers and I guess I never will. I guess I am choosy about which men I want to see naked. Or maybe I am old fashioned and prefer a little mystery.
shareI completely agree! Stripping and runway modeling are two things men should stay away from. Obviously the men are hot, but women are simply better at being seductive and I, too, would rather watch female strippers. Watching men gyrate and shake does nothing for me, but I will watch this more for Matthew Mcconaughey than anything/anyone else.

In real life, yes. I too would rather see women. This movie really isn't that great, but damn those men look good!
shareI think male stripping is made to be funny and spectacular, not at all the same thing as women's. Girls go there to shout and laugh. I am not a big fan, but I understand why some find it entertaining.
shareOh it's definitely entertaining, but personally it doesn't get me hot and bothered. For a lot of women it's a way to act out since outside of a strip club that kind of behavior in women is frowned upon. If I were to go to a male striptease revue I'd much rather sit in the back and watch. :-)
shareI never liked strip clubs in general. There's sort of a pathetic, desperate atmosphere in those places. Most of the strippers aren't even that hot.

As a woman, no way would I prefer to watch other women strip...male revues are really fun, and no one takes them seriously...

They are there to milk the suckers for money and are laughing at them behind their backs, really thinking, "These poor, lonely fools who have little self-respect. We'll throw them some crumbs and help them fantasize they could ever really have us. Being near our hot bodies is the most sexual excitement they probably have in life."
You really have to sink to a level of low self-image and basically admit desperation to go and act that desperate over someone else stripping. At least watching or looking at porn is a private thing you don't humiliate yourself in public doing.

Except there they ones using their bodies to make money and have people pay without even being touched or showing full frontal. Being a stripper has definite low-class connotations, but if they're in control and making the money it's different than what I was saying. They have people hootin' and hollering and drooling over them. But yeah, all in all it's pretty low class all around.

As a female, I completely and 100% disagree. I think the male body is beautiful in it's own majestic way, and even if the men stripping in this movie or in real life go about it in a way that's comical or whatever, I can still appreciate the sexiness and the appeal of these men. I'm tired always seeing women's boobs and butts in practically every nook and cranny of the media world. I'm just 'ehh' whenever I see a woman naked, semi-naked, trying to be seductive, etc. etc. I appreciate the male body, something most women for some strange reason are unable to do.
