Showgirls is a masterpiece compared to this...

Both Showgirls and Magic Mike are set in the world of stripping, so it makes sense to compare them! Personally I do love the irony of Verhoeven's movie, it's bad acted it has over the top situations but everything's intentional, it's a satire, it's colourful and it does entertain you from the beginning to the end while on the other hand magic Mike is slow, predictable, bad directed (the yellow filter and the horrible coreographies) and his characters are boring..but...Magic Mike holds a 6.1 here on imdb while Showgirls has a 4.5! MM was a box office success while Showgirls got razzies and ruined Berkley's career...I don't get it...
