This movie actually makes fun of people like Frank
Some people seem to miss what the movie really makes fun of: people like Frank. Yes the film is also about problems with today's society and media but most of all it makes fun of judgemental and pretentious people like Frank who always whine about everybody and think they are better than everyone else. The movie also acknowledges Frank's and Roxy's hypocrisy: the scene where Frank says that there should be less gun control and then Roxy responds: "Well, Frank, then every nut would have a gun."
I'm not trying to defend this film, I didn't particularly enjoy it, but some people really seem to forget that it's a satire that's definitely not supporting the idea of starting a killing spree and is actually making fun of people who think they can make things better by killing people.
