I did respect Michael's strong love for his sister. There seems to be an erosion of all things pure and wholesome in modern America but that wasn't the case in Michael's family. I certainly don't condone what he did to those girls but the value he placed on family was heartwarming.

"Heartwarming"? I can't see how someone can watch this movie and have their heart warmed by the monster in it. Male violence against women is ridiculously common in modern society and nothing about a man who kidnaps, beats, tortures and kills several underage women is heartwarming. The men who do these things often feel completely justified and comments like that don't help.

Michael showed absolutely no love or compassion in this film. He was a selfish, sadistic and had zero empathy for anyone, ESPECIALLY his sister!! If you missed that, you missed the ENTIRE plot of the movie!
