Angles for the Interviews

Someone needs to go back to film school.

Please explain to me why each subject is staring directly at the camera, the audience, you, while watching old videos of Savile. It is unsettling. What was the purpose?

Another bizarre choice was having a person answering interview questions out the window of their car while driving. The viewer is placed on a fixed camera mounted outside the vehicle.

Another interview had a woman shot at must have been at a 10mm focal length. VERY FUCKING CLOSE. Her entire head filled up the screen.

These instances are jarring and I could not find a reason for any of them.
