There is question about Scarlett Johansson's acting ability. She proved that from an early age in The Horse Whisperer. However, she is miscast in this film. It requires an actress who has a comedic touch , like Kirsten Wiig. The film is clearly harking back to those Doris Day - Rock Hudson/ James Garner comedies of the 1960s. I have never seen Scar Jo do funny. I noticed that she was one of the producers so that explains the casting. Pity.

Some good elements, I like the period and setting, anything to do with the Appollo missions is interesting to me, as to te minuses Scarlett and Tatum didn't have much chemistry, also the whole sub-plot about filiming a fake landing was ridiculous. Overall I would give it 5/10.
Comedy though? What was even supposed to be funny?
There was plenty of grounds for a decent comedy, but the script was poor. The film was celebrating the moon landing and also mocking the idea of a fake moon landing. You need a comedy actress who can deliver or an actress who can deliver comic lines. ScarJo can do neither. The only person who seemed to be enjoying himself was Woody Harrelson.
