Change of mood?

It seems that "Death in Paradise" does not give titles to its episodes, but only numbers. Anyway, I just watched the ep called "5.2," in which the outgoing governor of the island is poisoned to death in front of many of her former subjects. And to my mind, the overall tone of this ep changed from its usual playfulness to unexpectedly somber. That's not a criticism, just an observation.

Will later episodes of "Death in Paradise" also be gloomy? Or will we see a return to its tranquil, funny side?

Watching Series 5 and I agree. The tone changed from light-hearted and comedic to more somber and procedural. Also more cinematic.

I'm just about to start series 4, but certainly series 1 to 4 have episode names. I see they don't seem to be listed in IMDb but Netflix has them.

Same here - I've watched it on Netflix, and episode names are given.
