Seriously, all the hatred?! This is just over the top, grotesque comedy. An hour and 40 of so bad it's good quotable perfection. "You can't castrate! That would be permanent!" Oh man. Black, gritesque comedy with amazingly OTT and self knowingly bad performances. So hate me. Hehe.
shareI totally agree with you, I laughed constantly during this movie. A good sense of humor is definitely a requirement for anyone planning to watch this. If you don't like sick/black comedy this is not the movie for you! I actually looked the movie up on IMDb expecting it to be listed as horror/comedy. The movie is gruesome but it's as openly silly as movies like Airplane or The Naked Gun.
shareSick, black comedy that requires a sense of humour is entirely right! I enjoyed the over the top performance of the lead actor, even if his histrionics went on a bit sometimes. I particularly liked the way the film seemed to toy with the idea that the mentality behind the penal system in America is getting so vengeful and right-wing the 'good guys' are in danger of becoming worse than the inmates themselves. Also, a delightfully sleazy turn from Eric Roberts!
