Would you have watched it if Arnold wasn't in it?

Just curious as I wouldn't have known about it. But being a huge fan of Schwarzenegger and his work I thought it was definatly worth a watch just to see if he can hold a drama (which he did), what about everyone else?

reply

Probably not. Arnold is probably the main reason most people saw this film.

reply

Depends on who they replaced him with. It's tough to say because I don't think this would have been on my radar without the counter-intuitive casting. At the same time, Breslin is the best reason to watch the film (along with the score and cinematography).

If this had been pitched as a Breslin Oscar grab at the end of the year, I might have caught it just because of the subject matter.

reply

In my case he is the main reason i'm not seeing the movie.
Sounds like it could be a good movie, but that also take's good actors. With Arnold is not.

reply

Ok, after watching the trailer i really wan't to see this movie. And that freaks me out

reply

I think that this is his best acting, subdued but sad. I don't think that he was a problem for the film.. :)

reply

Who cares about Arnie? It's Abigail Breslin who matters.

reply

This. Arnold was the reason this movie got made, but Breslin is phenomenal.

reply

Wait, Arnold was in this movie?

You see I wouldn't know BECAUSE HE HARDLY TALKS!

Seriously, the only line I remember from this movie was from the beginning when he says 'get to da truck'

reply

Don't confuse talking to acting. Acting is much more than saying words, it's the emotions in his face and his expressions, which are great in this movie.

reply

To me, Arnold was the reason i waited so long to watch it. Little interest of him being in it.
