Dedicated father? Check. Teenage girl? Check. Zombies? Check. Road movie-theme? Check.

You have to admire the timing, this is the Last Of Us Remixed Edition.

Road movie theme ? 

When I'm gone I would like something to be named after me. A psychiatric disorder, for example.

I'm a little surprised more people haven't mentioned this. In my opinion, Mutants is a much better film. It was nice to see Arnold step outside of his usual role, but I feel like his performance was a bit lackluster and the dialogue was pretty boring and stereotypical at times. Worth a watch once for the novelty of Arnie in a zombie movie, but for those who enjoyed the movie for the focus on one person's slow transformation into a zombie, check out Mutants. Same concept but much better acting and not as boring.

No surprise, many people wouldn't have heard of it, including me.

Sorry, but no. There are some similarities, but they really aren't that close.

i actually very much like both MUTANTS and MAGGIE. personally i feel that MAGGIE is the better movie (in cinematography, direction, acting, etc) but both are worth watching. i just re-watched MAGGIE again last night and i liked it as much as i did on my first watching. both Arnold and especially Abigail were EXCELLENT in the movie (and i'm not really an Arnold Schwarzenegger fan...but he was surprisingly good in it).

both these films are basically the "taking care of a loved one who is dying" storyline (with horror/creature elements). there's been 100's of movies with the same main plot point.
