I can understand why people were bored by this zombie movie

I personally enjoyed the film and the unique take they had with the zombie outbreak. It was refreshing to see a zombie movie where there were still doctors, cops, and working phones!
I find that zombie movies that aren't action packed and filled with gore tend get lower ratings. I love all kinds of zombie movies and while I do enjoyed the ones filled with zombies, I also find the ones that focus more on the living people incredibly fascinating.
That said, if you went into this movie thinking it was going to be like Dawn of the Dead, it's easy to see why you'd find Maggie boring. My advice is if you enjoy the zombie genre, give this one another watch. You might enjoy it a bit more now that you know its not your typical zombie movie.

Well put. It was also more interesting to me to see people acting responsibly while trying to keep things under control, and to live life as normally as possible, than to watch a bunch of macho vigilantes gleefully running around armed to the teeth. - Although I did love Zombieland, with Abigail Breslin playing a *much* different role during a zombie apocalypse - but that was a (damned funny) *comedy*.

I liked the movie.

BUT

I felt their were many piece placed for interessting character decisions. But none of them came to be.

SPOILER

She standing on top of the farm at the end? And then what? Jumps? She won't die. She'll turn. What about Arnie's decision? This was what the film built up, right? And then nothing.

I liked the style, the hopelessness and everything. I even felt with one or two characters. But somthing left my stomach empty when credits roll.

To my understanding, she jumped in hopes of destroying her brain, in the traditional way of putting down a zombie. A gun would've been easier, but I only ever saw a rifle in their house. Given the size, that would've made it difficult for her to manage, especially in her condition.

As for the movie building up to Wade doing the "honors," that's true, it was. However, I took it to mean that she was trying to spare him that memory. She knew he already had to do it to their neighbors, including a little girl, and that he'd have to carry that with him for the rest of his life. She didn't want to make things worse by adding her blood to his hands. So, when she knew it had gone too far to protect him anymore, she did the honorable thing in the only way she knew how.
