Maggie/Under the Skin

This film seems to be dividing people on here as much as Under The Skin did...

I loved both of these movies for various reasons, acting, music, cinematography... but I also went in knowing what to expect and it was nice to see Arnold not just smashing in zombie's heads and firing off one-liners...

It seems to me (and I'm probably not the only one) that the majority of Maggie's detractors (and those of Under the Skin for that matter) seem to have gone in expecting to be spoon-fed bad acting, violence and bucket-loads of gore - nothing wrong with that, but these are films are all the better without these factors and a change from the norm.

I didn't expect anything when I first watched either film, I had no idea what they were about and who was in them actually. I can't say I was all that moved by either movie.. they are both very average films at best IMHO.

Fair enough, but if you didn't particularly like the film, why are you bothering to come on here? Just a question... I'm not saying you should like it, just why bother checking the comments?

I get why some would be bored with UTS, it's got it's 'drawn out moment's...!

Under the Skin is really slow, but it is intriguing. I don't mind pace a lot if the story still manages to hold my attention.
Maggie, in the other hand, don't have nothing intriguing about it. I liked the story, the cinematography, but at one point I found it pointless. I think it should had focused more on Arnie's character. It's not hard to understand how tough Maggie's life is after she's been bitten, but is Wade's dilemma that actually holds the movie.
