So much more than a zombie movie

This was such a powerful film. The cinematography, editing, acting and makeup is all amazing. The slow pace of the film is equal to the subject matter. This is not at all a zombie movie, but rather a movie about life, death and love.

Completely agree! I loved it!

I loved it also, nice change from generic zombie flicks.

Absolutely agree. It could almost be an allegory for someone getting Alzheimer's/Dementia. Maggie is probably the most interesting take on the "zombie by virus" genre that I've ever seen.

Have to agree

Very true. I absolutely loved the way they did this- a quiet and thought-provoking study on the nature of what ties us together, rather than the usual zombie action stuff. I wasn't sure what to think of Arnie in his role at first, given his history, but he blew me away, and Abby was just first-class. Heck, the whole zombie thing was almost unnecessary- mix cancer and AIDS with a little dementia, and you'd basically have her situation. It was really very well-played. It makes me think of my own daughter, of what I'd do if that all happened for real. My little Erika will be two next month...

my wife and I also agree. Terrific film that takes zombie movies to a new level. Never knew a horror film could be treated with such sensitivity.

Great performance by Schwartzenegger. His portrayal of a helpless father was moving.

Special kudos to the sound department for the audio effects.
