Dream Beavers

I just have to say the Texas Chainsaw Massacre references in this episode were amazing. From Bill Moseley (Chop Top TCM 2) voicing a character to the homage to the dinner scene from the original 1974 movie. Absolutely loving the horror movie themes in this season.

Best part is the comic book dream sequence. Prefect reason why longtime TMNT fans love this show.

I love that they did a TCM episode. The chainsaw even said "The saw is family" from TCM 3.

It's funny, the cartoon Clarence recently had an episode parodying the original TCM ending, and I found myself pondering:"Man, I love the first two TCM films. I wish there could be more references to it in cartoons, like having Bill Moseley do a voice! .... Nah, it'd never happen, he's probably dead anyway."

But then I saw the episode. Between this and Jesse Ventura as The Finger, this show knows the right buttons to push for me and me alone.

Pity Dennis Hopper isn't with us anymore, him showing up as a Northhampton sheriff would have been awesome.

I get a lot of teasing from friends for watching a "kids" show at 34 but honestly how many kids on the target age bracket would get all these horror references? I mean most of horror flicks they have done homages to have been remade in recent years so they might get some of em. However the TCM references are very specific to original and it's sequels. Not just the horror nods either when I watched "The Croaking" with my 10 and 7 year nephews I started laughing hystercally because Napolean Bonafrog was based onn Napolean Dynamite and they looked at me like I was crazy lol.

This episode was pretty dark for a kids show. My little brother had nightmares for a week loooool. That and the squirrelanoids. He had a tough time with that episode. He would literally cry every time I would mention it hahahaha. Now that he's a bit older he can stomach it, but it's funny cause I actually get into the show with him (dream beavers freaked me out not gonna lie). I'm surprised there's this many posts on this board lol.
