When I watched Series 5 last year on PBS, I was mesmerized by the retractable oven doors! I've never seen them here in the US (but maybe they exist somewhere out of my price range!) but it's such a great idea. An open oven door takes up about 3' of space and it can be difficult to reach over and around it. All ovens should have this feature (in my opinion).

For some reason I see them breaking easier. Not just pulling outward(like regular ovens-not professional), but pushing under. That's 2 places for the hinge mechanics to break. What I don't like are the oven racks. Did you see how twice they fell on bakers?
shareThat's true about the racks. Those ovens also look much smaller than most home ovens so I'm sure they could be made much sturdier for home kitchens.
