Season 6 (2015) begins airing on PBS on July 1st

I just saw on the cable grid in my area (and presumably others) that Season 6 (from 2015) of "The Great British Baking Show" (AKA "The Great British Bake-Off") will begin airing on Friday, July 1st, at 9 PM (EST). In the description, it says that the bakers make Madeira cake and Black Forest gateau. Since I'm hopelessly addicted to this show, I already watched that season by way of YouTube videos and made note of what was made in each episode, which is how I found out that the one airing this week is Season 6. Some of the bakers in that season are Ugne, Tamal, Nadiya, and Flora.

I'm really excited to watch this show again, especially on an actual TV. I'm not a fan of watching full-length episodes of shows on a computer screen, plus I'll be recording the episodes from that season to join the ones I've recorded in the past.

My cable grid only shows 1 week at a time so I'm crossing my fingers that the July 1st show isn't a stand-alone episode (please don't let it be one of those pledge-begging ones) but is just the first one of the entire 6th season and the other episodes will air every Friday.

Well, I almost missed that(because they have it on channel 16 instead of 10 & on a FRIDAY!). Thank you dagr317! It is the entire season. I googled it, & it was written up as starting.

Great! I'm so glad it's the entire season and not just a filler for that time slot.

I only found the listing for it because I just happened to be scrolling through the cable grid to see if there might be a rerun of a "Grimm" episode at 9 PM Friday night. Needless to say, I was very happy with the find!!
