Baking in a tent
Newish US viewer here. I started with the season on Netflix and then went back to the beginning. Can anyone explain why they STILL bake in a tent even though they don't seem to travel anymore?

shareIt's an allusion to village fetes where cakes, preserves, fruit, vegetables and crafts are entered for judging, usually in a tent like this.
I'm the clever one; you're the potato one.
I'm sure it also has to do with just keeping with tradition. Baking in the tent is now something to aspire to.
I hope they always stay in the tent exactly where they are. The show just wouldn't be the same if they filmed it in a TV studio somewhere. The setting is one of the best things about this show.
baking in a teepee would be cool too.

I never understood why the poor bakers have to be a tent, I would think being in a temp/humidity controlled room would be kindest. But somehow they came through again!
