PBS' Facebook page telegraphed the end result
For the two weeks prior to the finale, they highlighted one contestant exclusively - the ultimate winner.

Nadiya?
If so, I don't think it was that big a deal since the season that just finished airing on PBS last night was actually over a year old and the videos of each episode had been on YouTube (where I first watched them last year).
But the purpose of the FB postings was to encourage viewership - more likely to be achieved by a heightened sense of anticipation than by announcing the result before running the episode.
shareOkay, I understand now. I don't do Facebook myself so I wasn't aware that it was that big a deal... my mistake. It was still a really great final though because it could have been any of the 3 of them winning.
Actually if you brought up GBBS on Google at all, there the winner was. It's one of the cons of watching a show so long after it originally aired. But my PBS did not have the winner showcased. Guess it depends if you look at your local, or the main PBS. I do have to say, even though I knew who was going to be eliminated in each round, it didn't bother me cuz I watched for the baking itself.

I remember that part with Sue. That's part of what I love about this show, because it keeps it light.
