The premise sounds awesome, very secluded.
But the review on the movie's imdb page says you don't get to see the actual flying or fighting. So does it just start off after the crash? I would've liked to see the crash happen, personally.

You see the shadows of the planes chasing each other on the snow, then you see a crashed plane.
And yes, its a lot better than I expected for something that went to DVD over here.
This movie pulls it off perfectly. Having seen the film, I think seeing any actual air-to-air combat would've ruined the movie with bad CGI or green screen or anything. They also didn't really have any time to worry about it, the story isn't slow at all, the character development begins immediately and doesn't end.
