Are they going to have better stories in the future?

Since this show is entirely fictitious, you'd think they'd hire some better writers to come up with scarier material. There have been quite a few episodes that were just boring. I want to be SCARED, not bored.

Maybe some stories about inter-dimensional doorways that trap children in parallel universes, or an atheist demon that laughs at crucifixes and Bibles, or maybe the ghosts of some Muslim terrorists or something. A psychic who can actually prove their ability. Stuff like that. If you're going to make stuff up, might as well make up something entertaining.

I'm sure in season 5 they will start writing about wars between malevolent demons and callous angels.

I watch this show because it is entertaining. I don't really care if the stories are true or not or stop to think if it's plausible or implausible.

It's the equivalent of a visual ghost story told around a campfire. And one of the problems is that it's almost always a ghost. What makes things worse is that almost every episode is completely formulaic like a piece of fiction: act 1) introduction to dream home act 2) escalation 3) revelation of the history and people leave.
