Poppy's revenge - yet another good one.

Poppy's revenge, on initial impressions, frankly sounded like it was going to be one of PW's (...few) 'B Sides'. But how wrong I was to prejudge it that way.

Indeed, last night's episode definitely hit the mark: Very believable narrators; No tells of dishonesty at any point; And, compellingly strong narrative led the way. What's more, it was a nice change from the earlier episodes that much of the erstwhile 'production themed darkness' was lifted (at least) for this one; i.e,. the lights were more on, than off, for a welcome change!

Overall, this viewer is enthused to see that PW, despite running for its four seasons to date, is continuing to maintain its very high standards. Once again - well done to the production crew and all involved.

It was okay.

It was a nice change that the ghost knew the lead character. The lead character was pretty cute.

Otherwise, I was a tad bit bored. 😩

The elephant in the room: That "Poppy" was in love with his own 18 year old granddaughter. The crazy, obsessed perv... ;-)

@ Lets_talk_about_that: You're probably not the only one, who was was considering that point, however I wouldn't think for even the slightest of moments, that he was that abusive. For sure, he was portrayed as an obsessive, unreasonable and possessive old bird; But I'd like to believe, from everything she said, and moreover the way that both sisters conveyed all details, that that was definitely where the buck stopped.

Not saying he sexually abused her. Just saying that such a single-minded obsession - in life & in death - on a teenage girl and his heartbreak that she left & didn't return to him seem to clearly indicate an inappropriate obsession.
Just being realistic.

Why wouldn't the granddaughter have any time to go visit him? Surely she wasn't a DJ 24/7. I would try to visit him every few weeks or so, as it was a long drive. My aunt and uncle's son, his wife and young kids live about 9 hours away and they go down to visit them all the time. I'm sure once the kids are teenagers/young adults they'll be able to fly here on their own.

I LOL'ed at how obviously CG that fire looked when it was shown surrounding the bed. They could've made it look a little more real. Like put a fake dummy in a bed and make a special set that can have real fire. Unless the budget didn't allow that.

it took place from 1983-1994. I wish it would show the year for each instance. She must have became the DJ in 1985 and given birth around 1990-1991 as their daughter looked to be about 4 in the last scene (1994)

@ Lets_talk_about_that - Aye indeed, I'm fully with you on its being an inappropriate obsession.
