S5 ep7 - best of the 5th Season to date.
What an interesting episode! At first it didn't particularly grab my attention, but by the end of it I was fascinated, although still left with plenty of questions - such as - what actual (as opposed to implied...) historical evidence was there that the nasty killer, Richards (great evp capture too!) was associated with their property in particular? Albeit, the facts still added up in a very compelling way. And I might just have missed that part, but again, it seemed to be suggested more than anything else that much of the nasty stuff which happened, actually happened at their place, at some point in the distant past!
Also, it has to be said that the direction and filming were incredible. Probably the best directed/filmed of all the PW episodes to date. Very very well done.
The only thing which irritated this viewer was how they seem always to be editing out particular days and or particular times, whenever a contributor speaks. For example a contributor might naturally disclose something like "I remember something else, it was on a Sunday night, at around 2am, I awoke to find..." which would inevitably be edited to: <cut to speaker 3> "I awoke to find...etc"
Speech would be a lot more natural, and therefore more compelling, if less editing was being done in that particular respect. But OTOH, I doubt many other would mind nor notice this, alas...
I'd think some of you would agree that in some respects it was a similar haunting to that of Fox Hollow Farm, because that particular episode certainly crossed my mind at one point.
