It could have been a much better movie, because imo the cast was really good + the action and the visuals were done really well. But there were so many different things going on in the movie, that it was a burden to watch through the whole thing.
And I hated the fact that Gwen died.
Like Garfield said, the movie had over 30 minutes cut from the theatrical version. Maybe it would have made more sense with the extra footage or probably not. There was a lot of unnecessary themes and subplots and the movie in general felt too generic with a lack of focus.
