Is this poem in the actual show somewhere

OLD MAN SLEEPING ON THE GREEN CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER WHAT HE'S SEEN PURE ENERGY, NOT SKIN AND BONE RISING LIKE THE SHEPARD TONE

Is this said in the show or in code on it somewhere?

reply

Yes, but not together.

OLD MAN SLEEPING ON THE GREEN CAN'T HELP BUT WONDER WHAT HE'S SEEN

It's the massage on the page that appears at the end of the credits in Golf War.

PURE ENERGY, NOT SKIN AND BONE RISING LIKE THE SHEPARD TONE

This appears in Sock Opera during the montage of Dipper entering passwords and Mabel making puppets.

reply

what do you think the pure energy line means? i do not watch the show, but have read some about it and find it interesting. i know the old man apparently saw something in another dimension or something and it made him crazy. i may start watching it now.

reply

If you dont watch the show I don't want to spoil anything, but there's a character on Gravity Falls who refers to himself as a being of pure energy. He shows up in sock opera.

reply

It most likely refers to Bill Cipher, who doesn't have a physical body.
