...To have Jensen Ackles and Jared Padelecki cameo as Sam and Dean from Supernatural, at the most they could've at least had them as Sam and Dean-ish characters but oh well.
At least there's fan art out there of Sam and Dean in Hirsch's style.

All of that would have been awesome! Maybe Hirsch isn't really a fan of their's or maybe he really only wanted to make refrences to things he remembers when he was younger
shareIts possible he hasn't seen much of Supernatural to really form an opinion of it, I mean the show took off when he was finishing school and starting his career and the show runs 22-23 episodes per season so it takes a lot of patience to get through a good chunk of it.
Still, would've been nice to see, well, hear Ackles and Padalecki in the series. Would've been neat too if they somehow referenced Friday the 13th if Padalecki's character and Dipper were on screen( Considering Padalecki and Jason Ritter both took on Jason Vorhees before, albeit in two totally different movies but coincidentally written by the same people).
I think using Kyle MacLachlan as the bus driver was an even better tribute. I knew his voice sounded familiar!
