See you next summer...

Anyone think we might see Gravity Falls again?

reply

I hope we might get a movie.

reply

Same. This was a great ending, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a reunion down the line. I think the show left quite a few things open for that to happen.

reply

Technically, we did get a movie. The Weirdmageddon plot lasted four episodes but it was one long continuous story. So if you watch it all at once, then it is like watching a movie.

reply

I personally hope not, the ending was beutiful.

unless, of course, it was based in the middle of the season, that would work

The new Journal guidebook coming in July might ease the pain...

But I'm honestly fine, GF wrapped up every character arc perfectly.

^^This
Shows too often keep going even when they don´t have anything to tell (best example Phineas and Ferb)

I feel the ending means that life goes on, but in the same way that we saw Doc Brown and his family would go on at the end of Back to the Future Part III...onto another adventure, that we'll just have to imagine.

Besides, the summer the twins had in Gravity Falls, was akin to Marty McFly's time-travel adventures, or Elliot's week with E.T.: a one-time experience, that can never be experienced again...and something that will shape their lives yet-to-come.

"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."

It is a 10! You have to watch it multiple times to catch everything Alex included, including the credits. He handled the Stan memory loss by indicating time had passed since Bill's defeat.

I do think Alex Hirsch decided to end the show on a high note, I think he saw how P&F was run into the ground, taken over by others and the finale pitiful. Disney XD ran P&F and GF finales back to back today, no comparison.

Did anyone decode the ending cyphers? It may hold a clue to any future episodes but Dipper's note certainly did.

Alex and his twin are both A's so what do you think Dipper's real name is? Mark, Matt, Mike? Dipper instead of Mikey would make sense.

Alex is moving on to Fox, P&F creators have stayed with Disney creating a Mikey Murphy Law show, let's see who strikes gold again, my bet is with Alex! Great Job Alex, I will miss Dipper and Mabel but you are spot on pulling the show on your timetable. If you can, bring them back leading into their 14th or 15th birthday it would be great, any older, Wendy and the crew will have graduated high school and it wouldn't be the same. Thank you Alex for a great 40 episodes!!
