Least believable part ...

takes place in Season 1, Episode 20. There is no way Dipper could have made that jump onto the giant Gideon robot. He had to jump almost the entire length of the bridge. I'm fine with the gnomes, zombies, and inter-dimensional stuff, but heaven forbid you have a 12 year old jumping the length of a football field.
Sorry, but I over analyze this stuff because my 6 year old watches this show constantly.

I think that was actually a callback to the Dipper vs Manliness episode where one of his exercises was jumping from the edge of a cliff to the next. Pretty unbelievable, I agree, but I'll let it slide since they at least gave some setup to it beforehand.

I agree! However, "Gideon Rises" is still one of my favourite episodes and the second best Season One episode behind "The Time Traveller's Pig".

As another poster has stated, the scene was foreshadowed in "Dipper vs. Manliness". Although this does not make the scene in question feasible by any means, I think another idea behind it was to show how determined Dipper was to save Mabel and restore Stan's position as owner of the Mystery Shack.

And who knows, maybe it was a strange and unknown mystical force that helped Dipper...

"Do you think I've time for a snack?"

"You're always thinking about sustenance!"

"I'm not! I'm always thinking about food!"
