You Dipper and Mabel that even though your Birthday is on August 31 doesn't mean it's the last day of summer. I started school once on September 18. And it doesn't mean if your birthday is on August 31 doesn't mean schools that next day.

Depends on where you live, some schools start later some earlier. Really it was just the 31st for structure stake.
