Really Dumb Bar owners

reply

Yep, and Taffer didn't even yell at them. When the owner was sitting in an SUV with Taffer and looking at the video how dirty the kitchen was, she said something like "I never noticed it was that dirty". Seriously? She owns the place - how does she not notice how dirty the kitchen is?
For some reason Taffer blamed the manager for absolutely everything.

The owners are idiots. That bar will fail in few months; Taffer wasted $100,000 of network's money.

Taffer didn't even spend 1000 dollars of "network money", will you get real, read the updates page it was all as fake as his goofy smile.

reply

Ok, I read updates. What does anything that was written on the updates page have to do with remodeling costs (which network did pay)?

Owners appear to be mad because they have no idea what the hell they're doing (if they did, they wouldn't be on this show), so its easier to blame Taffer.

If you read the updates page, you would have seen a review from a person that said they frequented before and after the bar rescue episode and they said all the stains on the carpet from before were still there afterwards.

With this season especially they seem to nothing more than a lick of paint and some small cosmetic changes and thats it,,,,, read the reviews of the other episodes and you will see that they say the bar rescue make over makes over hardly anything.

Sure the episode with the Afghani owners and they had members of the commuinity paint the walls, do you really think they spent hundreds of thousands of dollars doing that?

reply

It's really hard to believe that if they were willing to rip everything down that carpet stains would remain. Though, the floors aren't really showcased at all so it's possible that's true.

And this is not to defend the show or the people involved with Bar Rescue, but things like stains on the carpet should be stuff the owners and management should be taking care of, regularly. It's not hard to get a professional steam cleaner or hire a service to do something like that. Could "Bar Rescue" have done that? Probably, but if they didn't the people who own or work at the bar should have been doing that.

Taffer had a throwaway line about why they changed the bar's theme from a "sports bar" to whatever it was he rebranded the place as because the marketplace showed the "concept" would work. It's been a long time since we've seen owners this visibly upset about the changes, without then coming around in the end and "embracing" the changes (even if it was just for the camera). Assuming that Taffer/the crew didn't explain exactly why with statistics and facts backing up their decision, it's a no brainer that they'd just revert it back. Taffer should have left at least a few more televisions in the place in the immediate bar area.

Based on what the owner Nita said in a Facebook post, they moved everything they could possibly move back into the bar. Recent photos show that the bar and faux-rock walls and paint on the walls are about the only things that are still the same.

I'd be shocked if this place is still open under their ownership in 6 months.

No, not the mind probe!

Well, if someone wrote it on the internet then it has to be true.
