Yeah, never cared for the guy once I learned about him being charged with attacking and injuring Asian men when he was a young man. Did he have some sort of anger and racist issues? Does a leopard change its spots?

Never thought Wahlberg was much of an actor... And I agree that other than ALMOST FAMOUS Kate Hudson has not shown much in the way of acting talent.
That being said, both of them are very VERY good in this movie. I was surprised by both.
It is also a really intense movie experience, handled extremely well by director Berg.
Don't make judgements before you see the film
