Can we talk about John Malkovich's performance?
Even in blockbusters he knocks it out of the park!
Remember Con-Air?
His accent and his performance was on point!

In Con-Air he was glorious, but this is a very different kind of film, and not a very different kind of performance (I mean in terms of tone, it's obviously nothing like Cyrus) and I thought he was heinous in it Didn't buy him for a second here. Every time he said anything I thought he was calling more attention to how he was saying things than what he was saying.

I acknowledge that Malkovitch is an accomplished, talented pro. He's never been one of my favorites however I enjoyed his acting in this film. I appreciated his cajun flair as well as his overall demeanor. There were many decent performances in this movie. I'm a big Kurt Russell supporter. I think he is very underrated and he has been acting for 50 bleeping years. I feel that the character development as developed by the respective actors was quite good.
shareI agree.
shareIn many ways I feel like the middle portion of this film is really an acting showcase between the great Malkovich and the great Kurt Russell. There exchanges are superb and both play the roles to perfection. That extends throughout the disaster into the closing minutes, the glare Russell gives him is great.
Trying to create a funny, engaging YouTube channel. If you guys check it out, hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

Totally agree, the Malkovich section was the only bit that I didnt find boring.
shareMalkovich and Russell made the movie.
Juliet Parrish: You can't win a war if you're extinct!
Agreed.
shareThe guilt John Malkovitch had on his face when he confronted the injured Kurt Russel at the bridge was PERFECTION!

I thought he was great here and also thought of Con Air. He refuses to phone it in.
I took the subway to Wayne Station and Batwalked up the road.
Malk had a great accent, infuriating arrogance, and then the countenance of guilt. Very well acted all around I thought. Russel portrays a believable hero and Whalberg brought up some man-tears.
shareI agree. He nailed this one.
Kurt Russell also shined imo
