Why such a low rating?

5.8 out of 10, really? Yes, it's inspired by the events of Gloucester, Massachussetts - the film's own case states this. Are people voting this down just because it's "not original" (whatever that's supposed to mean) or because they actually didn't think it was a well-made movie? I thought it was very well-acted and paced. I really impressed with the performance of the actresses - very believable to me. I was glued to my seat the whole time.

I think the ending really costs it. I don't mind the overall theme of the ending, but it was far too abrupt.

I would assume many people dislike the movie because they dislike the characters. Most punchable main character I've ever seen. The rest are brainless cronies and fangirls of her. Then the film calls them all dreamers, as if they wouldn't totally suck. So how love the film?
